2026 Artists for Artists Show and Sale Fundraiser

Dear Artist,

Congrats!

You are selected to show at the 2026 Artists for Artists Show and Sale. Artists for Artists Show and Sale is the annual fundraiser by Art in Uncommon Places, presented by Coralina Castle, hosted at the San Angelo Performing Arts Center. This letter contains dates and locations regarding the art work and intake process, please read thoroughly and reach out if you have any questions.

Art in Uncommon Places, and our team of Artists for Artists Volunteers, will be at the San Angelo Performing Center on March 8th from 12PM-4PM and on March 10th from 7:30 AM – 6 PM. SAPAC is located at 82 Gillis St. Please make arrangements for your art to be there for delivery on these dates. You will be given a badge at intake, this badge is your ticket for Opening Night (+1) and Last Call (+1), the back of the badge contains all the dates you will need for the entirety of the show.

Our Judge this year is Catherine Massaro. Massaro is a multimedia artist working in a variety of mediums which include oils, watercolors, pastels, printmaking, monoprints, collage, assemblage, digital photography, jewelry and wearable art. We are excited to host her as our judge this year. She will be judging all works into 6 categories; Best of show, Artists for Artists, Creative of San Angelo, Visual Arts Capitol of Texas, Coralina Castle, and People’s Choice.

Our Opening Night is on March 12th at 6PM. Opening night was a huge success over the past three years with over 600 people filling the halls. It’s an amazing evening and we hope this year will be just as extraordinary. We suggest an Artsy Cocktail attire for attendees to add to the evenings vision.

Last Call!, is a special evening of recognition for Artists, Award Winners, and Sponsors and will be held at SAPAC, on March 25th at 6PM. We will have Plated Dish serving small bites along with a paired beer, wine and a mixologist special.

For the conclusion of the show, we will be at the SAPAC on March 26th from 7:30AM - 6PM, for you to pick up your art or a check, if your art sold.

If you have any question or concerns please contact Julie Raymond or Dr. Gigi Perez-Langley or email us at artinuncommonplaces@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

Julie Raymond &

All Those Who Wander - Road Trip Oddities and Memories

Road trips are not unique, only to those on that trip. How you travel. Where you travel to. What you record. How you record and what you remember along the way and through the years. Where you return to and why.

Perhaps most importantly – what have you learned about yourself?

While I could not possibly show you all the places I have experienced over 40 years of travels, this show features stops in Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas that highlight unique, historical, and to some, familiar landmarks of beloved places.

Road trips are not unique, but how we each experience them are, and as a multidisciplinary artist, the visual adventure I am going to take you on will showcase many different interpretations of these road trip stops that I have explored in oils, collage, prints, photography, assemblage, watercolor and sketches. I have learned my creative spirit needs constant sensorial and visual stimulation and road trips serve that purpose. Seeing the familiar with fresh eyes while experiencing the new is what inspires me to explore many different creative avenues and has led me to defining myself as a multidisciplinary artist.

Most importantly, art is a shared experience, and the best adventure I have ever had.

“All those who wander are not lost.”
