4th Annual Artists for Artists Show and Sale
I recently returned from San Angelo, Texas where I had the honor of judging the 4th annnual Artists for Artists Show and Sale, through Art in Uncommon Places. The show was at the San Angelo Performing Arts Center and included over 200 works of art.
Judging was challenging for the number of works and the wide range of mediums- everything from painting to sculpture.
It was very well organized by Julie Raymond and Dr. Gigi Perez- Langley and the turnout for the show was excellent and sales were very brisk on opening night. I gave a brief talk to the VIP benefactors the night before the opening and announced the 6 award winners and gave a recap of why I chose each winning artists work.
They graciously put me up at a most delightful little boutique hotel- The Angoria, which I highly recommend! Lunch at The Angry Cactus did not disappoint either.
During my visit, fellow artist and good friend Debbie Carroll toured me through the San Angelo Fine Art Museum where the featured show Spirit of the Ranch was on display. A wonderful show and well worth the visit! I’ve never spent any time in San Angelo so I really enjoyed seeing so much of what they have to offer during my 4 day trip.
It’s an honor to be asked to judge a show and no easy task with so much great art and such a wide range of works.
Enjoy this little slide show of my trip and the 6 winners of Artists for Artists Show.
